Escrow and Close
Horn & Co. Real Estate will help guide you through the Escrow and Close process to ensure that you are aware of each phase in development and kept informed of all aspects of the sale.
Title companies, not attorneys handle escrow for most real estate transactions in California. In San Francisco County, it is standard practice for the Buyer to pay for escrow fees and title. However, depending on the purchase offer negotiations, the Seller may be partially responsible for the fees.
During the Escrow and Close process, your Horn & Co. Real Estate agent will do the following:
- Be present and consult with you on property inspections.
- Obtain ongoing status on the Buyers loan process.
- Keep an open line of communications open with you at every step.
- Work with the Title Company to confirm a clear and transferable title.
- Be prepared to address any unexpected occurrences during the process.
- Communicate with the buyers the process of the actual property transfer of title and the delivery of the property to the new Buyers.
